(I) Description
This Recommended Asia Researcher Database is initiated by Jun'ichi Tsujii and Keh-Yih Su at ACL-07, Prague to help keeping geographical balance at ACL events. It is created to let the ACL Executive Committee to search Asia candidates for various positions. The candidates included in this database are mainly recommended by various respected researchers from different regions, and are NOT listed in any preference order.
This database is categorized into different regions in Asia. Please follow the link of each region to find out its associated researchers. The information for each researcher is listed according to the format shown as follows. To update this database at this moment (or you don't want to be listed), please contact Keh-Yih Su (bdc.kysu@gmail.com) (the long term policy will be decided by AFNLP later). However, since this is NOT the database for all NLP researchers in Asia, we reserve the right to add new candidates at the current stage (the qualification conditions will be discussed in AFNLP later).
